What is Myofascial Release (MFR)?

We use “hands on techniques” that can be subtle or deep reaching. With gentle sustained pressure to surface areas of the body or the leverage of the arm or leg to gently change the attitude of the muscles. With one technique not standing alone but flows from one area to the next with feedback given by the individual receiving treatment. Nothing is ever “forced” or intentionally painful. People do report feeling deep muscle releases without experiencing deep pain in the process. The only way to really know it to experience it.

Our myofascial release is not like that taught in PT or massage therapy school. It is a form developed by John F. Barnes PT, LMT, NCTMB whom has taken the concept of tissue mobility and transformed it into a modality that young or old, broken or healing can benefit from immediately.
