Since 2005 Healing In Motion, PLLC has been offering myofascial release whether it be through our wellness program or through insurance based therapies. Many people have benefited from myofascial release and the added self treatment programs that are a part of the John F. Barnes, PT myofascial release program. Our therapists spend the whole appointment providing treatment, answering questions and when appropriate teaching home programs for optimal outcomes.
At Healing In Motion we provide Myofascial Release (MFR) as it is taught by John F. Barnes PT, LMT, NCTMB . The John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach® has helped many people all over the world who thought they had to suffer from pain on a daily basis. Problems are approached as a “whole body” not just a body part. We understand that you are more than a collection of symptoms and diagnoses. We will work with you to address your individual and specific needs and goals in order to help you return to your highest level of function. Unlike many therapy units, your entire appointment will be spent with the therapist in a private room and you will be given one-on-one care for the entire length of your visit.
Our staff offers 30+ years of combined John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach, (including cranial sacral techniques) experience as well as a strong rehabilitation background. We specialization in women's health, hand therapy, lymhphedema for extremities, and Pilates for rehabilitation.
Lisa Wiley, OTRL, CHT
Lisa has been an occupational therapist since 2001. After experiencing back pain in her 30's that prevented her from enjoying salsa dancing and limited her ability to roll over in bed, get up form a chair or sit for long periods of time she finally took the advice of her friend and previous owner of Healing In Motion, PLLC and tried John F. Barns Myofascial Release Approach® (MFR). She delayed trying MFR for three years thinking it was no different than anything else that was currently applied with her currently course of treatment. Not to mention MRI results indicated disk herniation and congenital deformity of the spine, it was just a progression of life?
She has spent the past 10+ years seeking mastery in the skill of myofscial release as it is taught by John F. Barns. "MFR is the mortar to all of what Healing In Motion has to offer. It helps home exercises feel better when performed, it eases the movement for everyday activities for motivation and engagement in our lives."
Rachelle Borowicz, MS PT
Rachelle been a Physical Therapist for 27 years. She suffered ongoing pain following several car accidents earlier in life. After taking her first MFR class 12 years ago she was hooked as it helped to resolve the pain that she had been suffering from for such a long time. She was amazed at how much better she felt with having this work done to her. She began to gradually start to use these techniques more and more in her practice as she continued her journey with The John F. Barns' Myofascial Approach®. In addition to her myofascial release work she started to combine her myofascial techniques with pelvic floor related diagnosis. She has many years of experience of helping people with a variety of diagnosis utilizing her skills with myofascial release.

I have been a Physical Therapist for 27 years. I had a lot of pain due to several car accidents. After taking my first MFR class 12 years ago I was hooked as it helped to resolve the pain that I had been suffering from. It was amazing how much better I felt with having this work done. I gradually started to use these techniques more and more in my practice as I continued my journey with MFR. I also developed an interest in treating individuals with pelvic floor issues. I enjoy treating patients with many different diagnoses with John F Barnes myofascial release.
